A personal statement is a requirement for the Serena Fenwick programme – the panel won't consider your application without one. The programme is designed for people who have a specific reason for needing focussed attention and the personal statement is your chance to explain your circumstances and/or the areas where you need extra support and guidance. This might be because you're not in full-time education, you've taken breaks from the industry for personal or financial reasons, you're transitioning fachs or voice types, or you're a dramatic voice that needs a bit more nurturing. If you're only applying for the summer programme then a personal statement is optional, but you can include one to support your application.
